Seda Mengü was born in Manisa in 1973. Following her high school education in High School for Girls, from 1985 to 1992, she got her B.A. in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, Istanbul University between 1992 and 1996. Then, from 1996-1999, she completed the master’s program in the same faculty with her thesis on “The Effects of Public Relations Activities on Alienation in State Institutions.” Following that, she earned her doctoral degree on “Formation of Women’s Social Identity in TV Commercial’s: A Study on Visual Advertisements.” She was granted her associate professorship in 2008 and full professorship in 2013. For now, she has been continuing her studies and giving courses on Public Relations, Women Studies and Corporate Communication.
