Pinar Aslan is a research assistant in Istanbul University, Turkey. She holds two majors in Public Relations and Comparative Literature, and two master’s degrees in Public Relations and Cultural Studies. One of her master’s theses was on social media and public relations practitioners. She is currently writing her PhD thesis that is on the effect of Turkish television series in Latin America. Pinar is very much interested in intercultural communication, international public relations, and social media behaviour. She also has publications on crisis communications, public diplomacy, and global advertising.
